Feenagh Park will be officially opened on Friday 19 May at 1.30pm by Lord Mayor Francis Foley. We invite all local residents to attend and celebrate this wonderful amenity for all.
Background to Feenagh Park
In 2015, Corran-Deel purchased the field next to Feenagh Community Centre with the intention of opening a community park. We subsequently received planning permission and the project got a major boost in January 2021 with an allocation of €100,000 from the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
Feenagh Park is now complete with the development of entrance, parking, walkways and lighting.
In addition to funding from the Town and Village Renewal Scheme from the Department of Rural and Community Development (administered by Limerick City & County Council), we are also indebted to the funding received and/or pledged from:
- The Kilmeedy Barn Dance Committee
- The JP McManus Benevolent Fund
- Corran-Deel VHA
- Local County Councillors Municipal Funding
- Local residents who donated online and/or sponsored seating and trees.
